Build your relationships through Family Legacy Portraits

Families in business are, first and foremost, families.

I partner with family business advisors, philanthropy advisors, accountants, trust advisors, and family managers who serve family businesses to create meaningful pieces of their family legacy through portraiture.

Legacy Portraits

Natalie White Portrait - The Seidels

I offer a special type of portrait photography that tells a family’s unique story and captures their legacy. Families in business together often have special needs for portraits that tell the story of the family, and the story of their business.

Because of the personal nature of my portrait process, I only work with a limited number of families each year. I accept domestic and international commissions.

My Values

  • Connection: Meaningful portraits that convey the essence of each family, preserved for the future.
  • Confidentiality: A highly professional photographer who’s always discreet.
  • Communication: Learning about each family and who they are before designing a portrait that conveys what they want it to say.
  • Collaboration:
    – Deciding details together, from clothing choices to location, so that everyone is relaxed and feels like themselves.
    – Encouraging as much involvement in the process that they desire — or as schedules allow.
  • Comfort: Putting everyone at ease and freeing the family to focus on and enjoy being together. This ensures the most meaningful portrait and creates a special day together as a family that they’ll remember forever.

About Me

For as long as I can remember, family stories of all sorts fueled my imagination. My grandfather started the tradition of telling bedtime stories about his childhood deep in the Carolina mountains to my mom; she and my dad continued the tradition by telling us stories about their own childhoods. To this day, I can still see those stories unfolding in my mind’s eye — almost like a series of photographs. They instilled in me my passion for capturing other people’s stories on film. Once the time is gone, you can never go back to capture those fleeting moments. This is why I love helping other families tell their own stories in Legacy Portraits.

For more than two decades, I’ve been ensuring that my clients’ family stories are preserved. Having trained with some of the best portrait artists and photographers in the country, I’m focused on giving my clients my all. I’ve become known for capturing families in a way that’s unique and meaningful to them. The result is the forging of long-term relationships with clients who become like family.

Our boys and our family are the most important things in our life. We treasure our portraits because of that.

There is nothing more valuable than the time the four of us spend together. Having this time while the kids are still ‘ours’ means so much, and I don’t ever want to forget it.

Natalie really captured our family. I thank God for blessing me with this awesome gift of family and love every time I walk past this portrait.”

— James Smith

“Natalie’s portraits aren’t just pictures. They speak to you about relationships, and the love and the feelings you have for your family. I wanted something that was more than just a photograph…that’s what led me to Natalie, and I’ve been with her ever since.”

— Mary Elyn McNichols
